What should I smudge?

just smudge stuff until it looks cooler. but don't forget to use some gradients

While it's nice for a beginner, it may be helpful to look for some sort of color pallets instead of just putting bright blue with more faded and darker colors. You may also want to look into some new font downloads. But like I said, very nice for a beginner. Just remember to keep an open mind and you'll go far.
